About Us
Avijan is a nongovernment, non-profit, social welfare organization. It was established in 2008 with the initiation of a group educated like‑minded social workers with an aim to promote the socio‑economic and cultural status of the rural poor and vulnerable people emphasizing the women and children.
It is formed as local level community based non‑government, non political and non profitable organization. It is working to ensure women rights and leadership and also socio‑economic development of the urban and rural under privileged people of Bangladesh and establishment of their basic rights in the Organization.
The organization has 35 members of General Body, 07 members of Executive Body & 03 members of Advisory Body. Members of different social strata constitute these bodies, which are significantly represented by women member. The General body meets once in a year. The Executive body members are elected by votes of general body members for 02 (Two) years. Advisor Body selects the Executive body members from those in the socials who are like‑minded and have the capacity to play an advisory role for the organization.

To undertake some exceptional intensive program for the poor, oppress, destitute, asset less, exploited people for urban and rural areas of Bangladesh to bring positive changes in their life style.
Vision
To ensure the rights of backward caste and make them self-dependent.
Objectives
To identify and organize the disadvantaged people in group for the improvement of their living standard.
To facilitate organized group members in raising their social awareness and enable them to find out root causes of poverty and hunger.
To establish human right especially for the women and children and reduce violence and discrimination.
To make a Safety communication and sustainable environment.
To eradicate the illiteracy by formal and non-formal education.
To aware the Gender development and their rights establishment.
To promote planned families, reducing maternal, child morality and morbidity.
To improve the awareness of the poor about their deprivation and exploitation through legal aid training.
To promote sustainable agriculture, crops production and nursery development.
To ensure Water & Sanitation facilities to the target people.
To improve the socio-economic status of the target groups by developing the habit of savings, providing skill training and Micro Credit support.
To provide relief and rehabilitation supports to the disaster people during natural calamities.
